Incredibly rare 1950s French articulating lamp by Robert Mathieu and Pierre Guariche, crafted in solid brass with a gracefully weathered patina. Its sculptural horseshoe base pivots smoothly, while the shade and arm move with precision through dual ball-and-socket joints, allowing light to be directed with ease. Designed to rest elegantly on a desk or hang effortlessly from a wall hook, it embodies Mathieu’s mastery of both balance and utility. Extremely rare mid-century table lamp and wall lamp circa 1950. By Robert Mathieu, probably in collaboration with Pierre Guariche, designed and manufactured in France circa 1950.
Fully rewired, fitted with a UK three-pin plug.
Dimensions: 28 cm high without shade, 18 cm base width, 28 cm shade diameter.
Missing original metal shade, include vintage shade is not original
