Shipping Policy

1. Overview

Gévaudan ships select home goods, decorative objects, and small furnishings worldwide. Every parcel is handled with exceptional care to ensure your purchase arrives safely and as described.

Because many of our pieces are antique or handmade, shipping methods and timelines vary according to size, fragility, and destination. We encourage you to review each product’s details carefully and contact us if you’d like additional photographs or information before purchasing.


2. Large Furniture & Oversized Items

Large furniture and oversized antiques are available for in-store purchase and eligible for local delivery within approximately two hours of New Preston, Connecticut.

  • Local delivery fees are quoted individually based on distance, accessibility, and handling requirements.

  • For destinations outside our local delivery area, we are happy to work with your preferred freight shipper. Once your carrier is confirmed, we will schedule professional pickup from our shop and prepare the piece for safe transit.

Gévaudan does not arrange or insure third-party freight shipments directly, but we will provide reasonable assistance to ensure a smooth hand-off.


3. Domestic Shipping

For items eligible for standard shipment:

  • Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days.

  • We ship via UPS Ground, USPS Priority Mail, or FedEx Home Delivery, depending on the item’s size, value, and destination.

  • Tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

  • Expedited service may be available upon request for an additional fee.


4. International Shipping

We are pleased to offer international shipping on select items.

  • Rates are calculated at checkout or quoted individually for larger or fragile pieces.

  • Any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

  • Certain oversized or high-value antiques may require custom crating or specialized carriers; please contact us prior to purchase for a detailed quote.


5. Packaging & Handling

Each order is packed by hand using sturdy, sustainable materials chosen to protect both the item and the environment. Because antiques rarely retain original packaging, we may reuse neutral or vintage boxes when appropriate to ensure secure delivery.


6. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the item’s weight, dimensions, and destination. When possible, multiple purchases will be consolidated into a single shipment to reduce cost and environmental impact.


7. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your shipment arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and retain all packaging materials. We will assist in filing a carrier claim and advise next steps for repair, replacement, or refund.

Gévaudan cannot be held responsible for packages lost or stolen after a carrier confirms delivery.
