Our Story
There is a place in the south of France called Gévaudan. In the 18th century, something moved through it that no one could quite name. Part myth, part memory, entirely unforgettable.
We named this store after that feeling.
Gévaudan is a collection of objects that carry something extra. A weight, a history, a strangeness. Things made by hand, found in estates, carried across oceans, and lived with before they arrived here. Each one will go on to live somewhere else after. We are just the middle chapter.
The beast on our mark is not a warning. It is an invitation.
We are based in New Preston, Connecticut, in the Litchfield Hills, where we keep a small shop open on weekends and ship worldwide. Our inventory changes constantly. Vintage and antique pieces are one of a kind and when they are gone, they are gone.
Come in. Something here is waiting for you.
