Self-edges and original fringe remain at top and bottom, though the piece shows expected age-wear: timeworn fading, edge frays, scattered thinning, a few old repairs and age marks throughout. The reverse reveals a full palette of layered shading and depth characteristic of high-quality French weaving (likely from an Aubusson workshop).
