Tarot de Marseille, after the 1930 B.P. Grimaud edition
A large-format tarot deck measuring 4.75 by 2.75 inches, printed on substantial 350 gsm card stock. Slightly oversized compared to traditional playing cards, it has a presence that feels both tactile and deliberate in the hand.
This edition traces back to a version printed in Paris in 1930 by B.P. Grimaud, which was quietly discontinued soon after with the onset of World War II. Very few original decks have survived, and those that have are often heavily worn.
This deck has been carefully restored and reprinted from one of those rare originals, preserving the character, color, and detail of the early edition. A piece of tarot history brought back into circulation, with the hope that it will be kept, used, and appreciated for years to come.
